Week one

Welcome family and friends.

This blog was created for family and friends to post a note to Lynn. Please feel free to post - she would love to hear from you!

We will post updates about Lynn's treatments and how she is doing as news becomes available. See Lynn's blog (see link to the left) for details.

We will keep both blogs updated at least weekly.

To post a note here, just click the "comments" link below. As soon as we receive them, we will post them on this site.

Thank you to everyone for your love and support.

Pastor Derek shared with me Psalm 16 this week (which I appreciate very much), and I would like to post it here:

Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. I say to the LORD, "You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you."
As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones,
in whom is all my delight.

The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply;
their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out
or take their names on my lips.

The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup;
you hold my lot.
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

I bless the LORD who gives me counsel;
in the night also my heart instructs me.
I have set the LORD always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.
For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
or let your holy one see corruption.

You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Hi Lynn,

The blog is great. Love having the latest information. We are praying for you often.
This reminds me of my favorite verse. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord always and do not lean on your own understanding; but, in all your way acknowledge him and he will direct your path.
My limited understanding doesn't in any way see what is to come in all this. But, we serve a loving God that can do amazing things when we follow him. I know that He has great plans for you Lynn.
I treasure your friendship and admire you strength in all of this. I will continue to pray with anticipation of seeing what God will do.

You as a family, have such a daunting journey ahead of you. I know that you have a very supportive group surrounding you in prayers, comfort and understanding during this difficult time. You can never forget that the you have the most important fighter on your side, God. "You can do All things through Christ who strengthens you." It does not say some things it says "ALL Things". Our family and friends are with you as well.
In Our Prayers,
The Keaslers.

Hi Lynn:

You are very much in my thoughts and prayers. You are fortunate to be in the best medical hands available based on what my friend Terri has told me. As Marlene has probably told you, Terri is currently going thru the same thing at Sutter and they are fantastic people. Please contact Terri if you feel like talking to someone who can relate to your challenge and can possibly answer questions that come to you between doctor's appointments. Marlene has her phone number. Much love and best wishes.

I have never witnessed such faith in the face of trial. Lynn and Mike you are an inspiration to me. There is nothing more beutiful in this world than seeing complete surrender to God as I have seen in you. I know He walks with you and will stay close to you through all of this. You have my prayers and the prayers of many, many people who love you. I am here for you at any time of day or night for anything you may need. I love you both deeply. Julie.

Just want you to know that we love you all and are praying for you. We know your faith is strong and that is the best place to be in times like these. Only He can give us peace and rest when we are troubled and restless. He has plans for us beyond anything we can imagine. Please let us know if you need ANYTHING!
Love always,

HI Lynn, Shelby, and Mike,
Thank you for your blog. Sutter has a similar format, called Care Pages. It works much like your blog. You're all in my prayers everyday. We are all so blessed to be in the famiy of God. Bob and I have experienced many of the emotions and experiences that you are going through now, all the scans, doctor visits, etc. My love and prayers are with you! Our God is a mighty God, and He is in control. I'm praying for your strength and peace at this time. Know that God loves you more than you can ever imagine.
Love,
Linda

Hope you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thought of you often and continue to pray for you.

You are a wonderful example of trusting in God's will and excepting it even when it isn't positive. I really admire you.

Lynn, Mike and Shelby,

Each of you are in our prayers. We aspire to have the deep faith that is displayed in each of you, not only in your words. You actually live your faith. I heard a song the other day that made me think of you. It was about how our God is not one that we hold, but rather one who holds us in his hands. He has carried you through so much already and, as promised, he will carry you through this as well. I am grateful for the awesome God we serve! We love you and will definitely being checking your blog to keep up on how everyone's prayers for you are being answered. Our prayers and love, of course, also extend to Marlene and Bert.

Love,
Maria, Robert and A.J.

Hi Lynn, Mike and Shelby,

I thought of this verse this morning when I was thinking of you. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10. Your faith in God is evident. May this verse cotninue to be a good reminder that God is your source of strength. We will continue to pray for you all.
