The Chemo process went easier this week, though it was still a 5-hour visit with the doctor's exam included.
We remain thankful that Lynn's only reaction to the Chemo has been fatigue. It could be much worse.
A special thanks to all the walking buddies who volunteered the past two weeks. Lynn comes back from the walks feeling much better. You’re the best!
We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
PS – feel free to post your guesses on the hair.

Okay, I'm in. I'm guessing for purely festive reasons that it will "snow" hair on Christmas Day. It's true (speaking from experience) that once you've had a "no hair" day you never again have a "bad hair" day. One of the blessings I suppose! Merry Christmas to you all. ~ joan
Happy New Year Lynn, Mike and Shelby! Our prayers are with you as you go through this experience. We know that God will be with you every step of the way. You are an amazing woman, Lynn, and I miss seeing you! I hope to get to Elk Grove soon to see you and Kim and the boys. We haven't seen them since this Summer. Yesterday Lisa stopped by with the girls briefly. She says "hi" and hopes to get together again soon for lunch. Maybe we could all meet again on a Friday. That is my only day off. May our Lord give you and your family peace and patience as you go through this trial. Jim's best friend Kenn is going through esophogial cancer and we've watched his "wild ride" through chemo and radiation this past year. Say hello to your parents for me! Best wishes for 2009! We love you!!! Wendy and Jim
When the hair starts to "snow" it's time for it to go. The upsdie to loosing your hair you no longer need to shave your legs or underarms. All that free time in the shower will be (is) fabulous !!! Bald is beautiful, remember that....
Happy New Year, hugs and kisses...
Lynnie
Hi Lynn. A woman at my church shaved her head in support of a man who had lost his hair to chemo. She wanted to walk the journey with him in her own little way, and I always thought that was wonderful! I thought about shaving my head, but as you know that is not a great gesture since there is so little to shave! Instead, I have kept you in my prayers daily. I think there is more power to that! When is it my turn to be your walking buddy? Grab your "poncho" and set a date! I also owe you a long over due lunch so let's look for a date for that as well. You know who I am and where to find me :) ...
Hi Lynn,
I thought about 1Peter 3:3-4 after I read the latest Blog update. A remider that you are beautiful on the inside to God and everybody around you.
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."

Hi Lynn
My name is Stacey and I work at
WPD and have worked with Mike many time and just wanted to pop in and say hi and that I was thinking of you and your family. Mike and I always joke around that we had to much in common and I needed to meet his family cause I ride Harley's and he likes bikes and I also named my daughter Shelby :)
Hang in there and know that the situation with hair, I agree with the post from Joan. I hate bad hair days, even my boyfriends mother who hasn't had her hair for years due to her treatments has a huge assortment of hats, scarfs etc and looks great in them, she says gives her a wonderful excuse to shop.
Take care and our prayers and thoughts are with you and the family.
Tell Mike I said hi.
